With this function, INSTAT 868-a4 and -a6 can be used for heating or cooling. The switching behaviour of all outputs is reversed (any activated pump logic is retained without reversal). The timer function is not reversed.
For cooling (summer operation):
1. Press buttons Channel 3 and Reset simultaneously.
2. Release the Reset button first, then the Channel 3 button.
For heating (winter more) = factory setting:
1. Press buttons Channel 4 and Reset simultaneously.
2. Release the Reset button first, then the Channel 4 button.
With this function, the receiver can be used for heating or cooling, e.g. by a central heat pump. The switching behaviour of all outputs is reversed (any activated pump logic and heating control are retained).
Note: The transmitters must not be switched to “Cool”.
For cooling (summer mode): is activated by applying mains voltage to the “Heat/Cool” terminals
When cooling is active, the arrow next to the “sun” symbol is displayed.
Note: There is no temperature increase during cooling. The clock is not used in this case. The temperatures must be adjusted on a master according to the cooling requirements. E.g. T1=21°, T2=24°, T3=27°.
For heating (winter mode): no mains voltage at terminals “Heat/Cool”.
