My actuator isn’t regulating.

Please check whether the actuator is set to “Manual”. If so, please set it to “Automatic”.

INSTAT 868 a1 requests heat, but there is no voltage at the relay contact.

Please connect terminals 1–2.

INSTAT +3 r-f-lim requests heat, but there is no voltage at the relay contact.

Please connect terminals L–C

Clock thermostat easy 3s, p, f, lim request heat, but there is no voltage at the relay contact.

Please connect terminals L–9.

RTR-E 3000 and RTR-E 6000 control are too imprecise and have too large a hysteresis.

Please check whether the neutral conductor is connected.

My Pump Logic expansion module is not working.

The expansion module must be connected externally to voltage.

How can I deactivate the valve protection for electric heaters at the INSTAT 868 transmitter.

Please refer to the operating instructions.

The LED flashes and a signal tone sounds at the INSTAT 868 receiver.

This is a warning signal that the radio connection has been interrupted. Please refer to the operating instructions for more information.

How to activate the Heating–Cooling switchover for the INSTAT 868 a1A receiver?

Please insert bridge J1.

How to activate the Heating–Cooling switchover for the INSTAT 868-a4 and -a6 receivers?

With this function, INSTAT 868-a4 and -a6 can be used for heating or cooling. The switching behaviour of all outputs is reversed (any activated pump logic is retained without reversal). The timer function is not reversed.

For cooling (summer operation):
1. Press buttons Channel 3 and Reset simultaneously.
2. Release the Reset button first, then the Channel 3 button.

For heating (winter more) = factory setting:
1. Press buttons Channel 4 and Reset simultaneously.
2. Release the Reset button first, then the Channel 4 button.

How to activate the Heating–Cooling switchover for the INSTAT 868 a8U receiver?

With this function, the receiver can be used for heating or cooling, e.g. by a central heat pump. The switching behaviour of all outputs is reversed (any activated pump logic and heating control are retained).

Note: The transmitters must not be switched to “Cool”.
For cooling (summer mode): is activated by applying mains voltage to the “Heat/Cool” terminals
When cooling is active, the arrow next to the “sun” symbol is displayed.

Note: There is no temperature increase during cooling. The clock is not used in this case. The temperatures must be adjusted on a master according to the cooling requirements. E.g. T1=21°, T2=24°, T3=27°.
For heating (winter mode): no mains voltage at terminals “Heat/Cool”.
