The ice detector control unit for 2 zones combines both functions of the ice detector control unit EM 524 89 in one housing. Both zones operate completely independently of each other. At least 2 sensors per zone must be added individually (temperature and humidity). The ice detector control unit, without sensor, is used for fully automatic heating of gutters, open spaces, garage drives, ramps and outdoor stairs etc. The control unit determines the optimum switch-on time to prevent ice formation at an early stage, i.e. before the freezing point. Since the unit is only switched on when there is a risk of ice formation, unnecessary waste of energy is avoided. The unit has a factory-set standard programme. A digital display of the setpoint and actual value and the parameters to be set. Automatic sensor recognition and monitoring. Adjustable reheating as well as an operating hours counter for the heating and other functions. Suitable for DIN rail mounting. Compatible with the previous sensors.
